Castle Lite Unlocks

Working with the high-energy team from Khoi Kreative, I got to sink my teeth into some really juicy work this April. If you’ve never heard of the Castle Lite Unlocks experience, make sure you look our for it in 2019 for a sensory overload experience, with some of the best local and international musical acts accompanied by pyrotechnics, blasting snow, hypnotic visuals, and of course, ice cold beer.

Working in a team of 4 editors, we got to create a crazy and terrific amount of content for the Nigerian and South African shows, ranging from background textures for various DJs, to doing intro videos for the musical acts. At first the resolution for the screens was daunting - a massive 3648 x 576 for Nigeria, and an even bigger 10494 x 1080 for South Africa. But once the creative juices started flowing, the challenge became an exhilarating experience.

Seeing the visuals on the incredibly massive screen at the South African Castle Lite Unlocks was a mind-blowing experience. A big shoutout to the fantastically talented Khoi family, all the animators, designers, videographers, photographers, sound designers, editors, and especially Bertus, Bam & Jacob for the incredible work, we did it!
